Multispecialty Jiaxing Kaiyi Hospital has opened in Jiaxing, Zhejiang Province, China. The 500-bed hospital is a project of Columbia China, a joint venture between Columbia Pacific Management (Seattle); Sheares Healthcare Group (Singapore), a wholly owned subsidiary of investment company Temasek (Singapore); and conglomerate Swire Pacific Limited (Hong Kong).
The $220 million facility includes 10 operating rooms and six labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum rooms, an atrium, indoor green spaces, a third-floor family hub, large lecture hall for educational events, and a sunken garden that connects a restaurant to a public park with water features and seating areas.
Services include outpatient, inpatient, emergency, and health screening and specialty, including internal medicine, oncology, orthopedic, respiratory, urology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, neurology, nephrology, cardiology, dermatology, gynecology, family planning, hemodialysis, pediatrics, and rehabilitation.
Global design and consulting firm B+H Architects (Hong Kong) was the architecture firm on the project.
