Mayo Clinic Health System (Mankato, Minn.) is planning to add a new bed tower in Mankato, according to an article in The Free Press.
The four-story, 140,079-square-foot facility, which will be phased in over five years, will include 69 new patient beds, increasing the total bed count to 240 beds. Staff areas, public space, and a relocated roof helipad are also planned.
This project follows a $65 million expansion at the hospital in 2018 and 2019 that added 14 new operating rooms.
