Montefiore Orthopedics (Bronx, N.Y.), Montefiore Nyack Hospital (Nyack, N.Y.), and Aspect Health , a Westport, Conn.-based real estate investment and development firm, broke ground on a new orthopedic center of excellence in West Nyack, N.Y.
The Musculoskeletal Center of Excellence will include an ambulatory surgery center, advanced imaging center, and physical and occupational therapy services.
Planning and design of the new Center was based on a 2-year study conducted by Aspect Health and Gensler in conjunction with Northeast Orthopedics & Sports Medicine (Nanuet, N.Y.) that aimed to understand local hospital performance and care delivery needs. Those findings helped guide the project, which will incorporates concierge services, advanced air systems, digital integration of patient data, and an onstage/offstage layout.
KBE Building (Farmington, Conn.) will provide construction services on the project; the facility is scheduled to open in summer 2023.
