Texas Children’s Pavilion for Women Completes Phase One Of Multiyear Expansion

The first phase of a $201 million expansion at Texas Children’s Hospital Pavilion for Women in Houston is complete.

Located at the Texas Medical Center campus, the project added a more accessible entrance to the Women’s Assessment Center located in the lobby area of the pavilion.

The second phase of the expansion will add more hospital beds to meet increased labor and delivery needs.

Additionally, the former Baylor Clinic building will be renovated as the main tower at Texas Children’s Hospital, adding 190,000 square feet to the hospital’s footprint. The tower, which will connect to the Pavilion for Women via a new sky bridge, will house outpatient OB/GYN services, allowing easier patient access and freeing up space for increased hospital beds within the pavilion.

The full expansion is expected to be completed in 2024.
