Dell Children’s Medical Center at Ascension Seton has opened in Austin, Texas, according to the website kvue.com.
The 187,000-square-foot pediatric facility houses a Level 3 trauma center on the first floor. The trauma center has 18 emergency bays, two trauma bays, an imaging center, and an outpatient retail pharmacy, according to the website communityimpact.
Operating rooms, endoscopy suites, and a sleep lab are all located on the second floor.
The new medical center’s third floor houses 24 acute care beds and 12 high-risk pediatric intensive care unit beds, along with a Ronald McDonald House two-bedroom suite and family respite space.
Shell space for an additional 36 patient beds is included on the fourth floor.
