CHI Memorial (Chattanooga, Tenn.) received approval from the Georgia Department of Community Health (Atlanta) for a certificate of need (CON) to build a new hospital in Ringgold, Ga., according to an article in chattanoogan.com.
The new facility is planned to include 64 inpatient beds, an intensive care unit (ICU), emergency department (ED), operating rooms (ORs), and a comprehensive imaging center with X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound, and non-invasive cardiac imaging capabilities.
The new building will connect to the current CHI Memorial Parkway hospital. Groundbreaking is scheduled to take place in the fall, and the project is slated to be completed by late 2024.
