Gauri and Shahrukh Khan’s seeking their third child via Surrogacy

Conceiving through IVF has been a contentious subject, yet many chose this method to feel the pleasure of becoming a parent. Shahrukh and Gauri Khan are one of them.

After a thorough study and carefully considering all their options, Shahrukh and Gauri Khan opted for surrogacy via IVF (In vitro fertilization) for their third child, Abram. Their decision was not embraced by many and received a lot of criticism instead. The lack of acceptance was in part because of the debate surrounding procreating via surrogacy and IVF. And also because they kept the birth of their child a secret.

“Amidst all the noise that has been going around, the sweetest is the one made by our newborn baby, Abram. He was born prematurely by several months but has finally come home,” said Shahrukh Khan in response to the huge buzz caused by the arrival of his newborn.

As Abram was a premature child, his health was under constant observation, and as parents, they decided to give all the attention and time towards the hope of their newborn child getting better. The birth of their third child added a sense of calmness, and what the external world thought about them did not matter at that moment.

The family faced a series of negative experiences concerning the birth of Abram. The media made serious allegations that the couple did a sex determination test which was not true, the couple confirmed. The media also speculated Abram to be Aryan Khan’s son (Shahrukh and Gauri’s eldest child). This rumor disturbed the entire family.

Aside from all these negative experiences, SRK and his family are very happy and feel blessed to have such a beautiful child. Abram brings a lot of cheer to the family and is dearly loved. Shahrukh believes that Abram is a true reflection of him.

Reflecting on their personal experience of having a baby via IVF, Gauri Khan shared that she did not leave Abram’s side throughout his medical treatment for a month out of love and concern for her son. Shahrukh Khan talked about IVF in a positive light. He considers himself fortunate to be a father of three children and supports the process of IVF as he feels it can bring immense joy to people deprived of conceiving.
