Nonprofit healthcare system Christus Southeast Texas Health System (Beaumont, Texas) and real estate developer NexCore Group (Denver) announced plans for the Gisela Houseman Medical Campus (GHMC) in Orange, Texas.
Phase I of the project will include a two-story, 55,000-square-foot medical office building (MOB) with emergency, outpatient, and diagnostic services by providers in the Christus Southeast Texas Health System. The remaining space will be leased to independent physicians. Planned services and amenities at GHMC include an emergency department, imaging and diagnostic services, lab, primary care and specialty care clinics, and community education areas.
The campus will help address a need for healthcare services following the closure of Baptist Hospital Orange in 2017. GHMC’s grand opening is scheduled for spring 2023.
