Intermountain Healthcare, SCL Health Complete Merger

Nonprofit healthcare organizations Intermountain Healthcare (Salt Lake City, Utah) and SCL Health (Broomfield, Colo.) have merged into one organization.

The new company is headquartered in Salt Lake City, with regional offices in Broomfield and Las Vegas, and becomes the 11th largest nonprofit health system in the U.S. after the deal, operating 33 hospitals, including one virtual hospital, and 385 clinics across seven states.

While the organization will be named Intermountain Healthcare, SCL Health’s Catholic hospitals will retain their distinctive Catholic names and continue to operate according to existing practices.
