Novant Health (Winston-Salem, N.C.) is breaking ground on a new hospital at its New Hanover Regional Medical Center (NHRMC) in Wilmington, N.C., according to an article in starnewsonline.com.
The 66-bed Scotts Hill Community Hospital will be added to NHRMC’s existing emergency department and will focus on orthopedic services, while also providing general surgery and other services. Completion is scheduled for the end of 2024.
Additionally, Novant Health has several other projects in the works this year, including a 108-bed neurosciences tower set to open on the NNHRMC campus this fall.
Brunswick Medical Center in Supply, N.C., is planning additional medical offices, one on the medical center’s main campus in Supply and another in Shallotte, N.C., and two Novant Health Michael Jordan Family Medical Clinics are also in the works.
