Oviedo Medical Center in Oviedo, Fla., operated by HCA Healthcare (Nashville, Tenn.), is adding more beds as part of $80 million expansion project, according to the website bizjournals.com.
The 44,083-square-foot project will add a vertical extension to the fourth floor of the facility to increase the bed count from 64 to 102.
Plans also include expanding the number of operating rooms (ORs) from five to nine, as well as adding a new post-anesthesia care unit.
The project team includes general contractor JE Dunn Construction Co. (Kansas City, Mo.).
