Study abroad vs Study in India

When we talk about studying abroad or India, both sides have their own set of pros and cons. Understanding them and learning more about them will not only increase our knowledge base but also help us come to a decision.

Some Pros

Career benefits – Completing your education from an abroad university helps you secure jobs faster and puts you high up in the market not because Indian institutes are not good enough but employers usually prefer individuals who have a degree from abroad with good enough work experience and marks.

Scholarships – Universities abroad provide a lot of different kinds of scholarships for national as well as international students. Availability of scholarships improves the chances of students going outside and studying.

Research opportunities – The education pattern abroad is quite different from India as it focuses more on a research-based course. Research opportunities abroad are highly sophisticated and students have better resources than opportunities in India which are quite resourceful but not as compared to Abroad.

Global outlook – Studying abroad lets you have a global outlook towards life and helps you understand cultures better and connect with people of different ethnicities which not only makes us more open-minded but also teaches us a lot of things.

High adjustment – When we are living and studying abroad alone or with a few friends adjustment plays a big factor because we learn how to stay by ourselves, fend for ourselves and also engage in activities like part-time.

Some Cons

Bank loan – As much as studying abroad is a nice way to move forward it comes with a lot of loans, borrowing, and paying off debt. As studying abroad is expensive, it comes with a lot of planning and research before somebody decides to go for it.

Quality of education – When we compare studying abroad and studying in India, both opportunities are good as Indian education is something we are usually accustomed to. Indian education is some fields that have better education and are more student-oriented.

Staying away from family – Living abroad is difficult as we are staying away from our family and friends. It can be very tough for some people and it is a different kind of adjustment and experience. Living away from family is something that we need to keep in mind and also see if we are comfortable with it and plan our studies accordingly.

Hence, there is a difference in education when it comes to both India and Abroad. Abroad has better opportunities as you have availability of better scholarships and resources but a lot of factors need to be considered to make the last and final decision.
