Some of the top careers in Science are:
Data science – It is a new age career option for science students.It is the study of various sorts of data by scientific methods,processes and algorithms. A graduate degree in computer science accompanied by a Masters degree in Data science is suggested.
Artificial Intelligence and Machine learning program(AI/ML) – AI and machine learning is a concept to create intelligent machines which can simulate human thinking capability and behavior.Rapid digitization in the modern world would create heavy demand on the need for experts who can understand this.To pursue this career a degree in computer science with specialization in AI/ML is required.
Biochemists and Biophysicists – These scientists study the chemical and physical properties of organisms to find out their important biological processes. They research how cells develop,how genes mutate and how organisms grow.They contribute to society within the field of innovations in agriculture,medicine and many other fields.A Ph.D in biochemistry or biophysics is recommended to pursue a career in this field.

Modern biotechnology provides breakthrough products and technologies to combat rare diseases, reduce our environmental footprint, feed the hungry, use less and cleaner energy, and have safer, cleaner and more efficient industrial manufacturing processes.A bachelor’s degree followed by a Master’s degree in biotechnology is suitable to pursue a career in this field.
Medical scientists-These researchers work on ways to improve healthcare, including searching for a cure for cancer and creating new treatments. A Ph.D. in medical science is a requirement in this field.
Material scientist- Materials scientists specialise in the study of the structures and properties of a type of material like metal alloys, glass, semiconductors or ceramics, with the aim of improving them. To become a material scientist,one requires a Bachelor’s degree in material science, chemistry, physics or engineering.
Microbiologists- They investigate the vital role of microbes in soil. They specialise in plant pests and diseases, developing ways to control them.To become a microbiologist, one must attain a bachelor’s degree in biology and a masters degree in microbiology.
Marine Biologist- Marine biology is the study of ocean aquatic organisms, their behaviors, and their interactions with the environment.A bachelor’s or master’s degree in marine biology, biology, or zoology usually is required for marine biology research jobs.
Astronomer- Astronomers are scientists who study the universe, its objects and the way it works. They aim to push the boundaries of human knowledge about how the universe works. A Bachelor’s degree in physics or astronomy followed by a Master’s degree in the related field is recommended.
Spacetech- Space tech is the application of technology to create tools and machines which can be utilised in operations related to outer space and the solar system. Space technicians create machines and other tools that help scientists research space better. A BTech degree in space technology is a prerequisite to work in this field.
Environmental scientist- Environmental scientists use their knowledge of the natural sciences to guard the environment and human health.You will need a bachelor’s degree in ecology,environmental engineering or bioscience.
Anthropologist-Anthropologist maybe one who studies various elements of humans, including biology and culture, so as to know human origin and the evolution of various beliefs and social customs.Minimum Educational qualification required is Master’s degree in anthropology.
