$452M Replacement Facility Planned For North Texas State Hospital

The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (Austin, Texas) is planning a replacement facility for North Texas State Hospital, an inpatient mental health hospital, in Wichita Falls, Texas, according to the website newschannel6now.com. The $452 million project will be built adjacent to the current facility. It will house 200 beds, therapeutic areas, and separate adult and adolescent patient spaces. Broward Health, Memorial Healthcare System Break Ground On Freestanding ED In Florida

Broward Health (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) and Memorial Healthcare System (Hollywood, Fla.) are partnering on a new freestanding emergency department (ED) in Sunrise, Fla. Broward will provide adult emergency care at the facility, while Memorial will provide pediatric emergency care through its Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital (Hollywood).
